National Health Food Month is a time for Canadians to learn more about their food choices and embrace a healthy lifestyle.
Organized by the Canadian Health Food Association (CHFA), November is National Health Food Month—a time for Canadians to learn more about their food choices and embrace a healthy lifestyle. It’s also a time for the CHFA to educate Canadians, reminding them that natural health products are regulated, safe, effective, and a wonderful preventative strategy.
And it looks like Canadians are getting excited by the prospect—according to the CHFA, 71 percent of Canadian consumers have used a natural health product. In fact, organics and natural health is a $3.5 billion industry, which has prevailed despite significant challenges, including the recession and the harmonized sales tax in BC.
The CHFA recommends celebrating National Health Food Month by:
- eating more whole foods
- learning about natural health food and product options
- choosing more organic products
